Making Connections

Mary Elizabeth and Matthew are congratulated by the North Central Chamber of Commerce, family and friends in celebrating their official ownership and rebranding of MEM Dance Theatre.  With a proud heritage dating back more than 40 years, new and long-term members of the MEM Dance Theatre Family will continue to be Sharing the Arts Together in the many communities it serves.

Radio

Mary Elizabeth and Matthew received an opportunity to speak with Howie Kahn’s Lunchbox Radio show thanks to Jennifer Stanovich who is the Executive Director at the Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce! MEMDT is always looking for an opportunity to reach communities everywhere and share the love of dance and theatre with everyone!

Summer Internships

One of MEM Dance Theatre’s main objectives is to offer families and their students a template to choose from for each student’s journey at our school.

We have partnered with Jaclyn Waguespack, Director of the Dance Program at Tufts University, in creating an Internship at MEMDT! This summer a “Marketing Kit” was created with a timeline that our students could use as they begin to consider their college search and how best to present themselves; particularly if they have a continuing interest in Dance and Theatre Arts.

At MEMDT we hope to help our students maximize their self-confidence, build a lifetime appreciation and understanding of the arts, and incorporate with the knowledge and skills they perfect; all of which result in being more informed and qualified as to the colleges and career choices they explore.

Data Marketing

This summer Olivia, our alumna and Data Marketing/Social Media intern, was responsible for assisting MEMDT in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the dance studio's brand, classes, events, and engage in-person and with the online community. This role required a creative and organized individual who has a knowledge/passion for Dance and Theatre Arts.

Olivia is currently a rising Sophomore at The George Washington University in DC where she is studying Political Communication and Dance! Olivia also got the chance to work with Jill Morin who is the Founder & CEO of Creative Communicators as well as our videographer here at MEMDT!

Together Jill and Olivia are creating three dance films from this past season’s MEM Dance Company’s choreography! This will create awareness of our beautiful community and all that it has to offer as well as show our dancers what they can do on a professional level; both behind and in front of the camera!

TV

Mary Elizabeth and Matthew had the wonderful opportunity of appearing on Boston25's ZipTrip to Sterling with the MEM Dance Company! The piece performed is History Repeating, choreographed by Billy Griffin.

Podcast

Mary Elizabeth and Matthew had the chance to appear on their friends Travis and Kat’s podcast On The Road, Episode 95: Inside North Central Massachusetts: MEM Dance Theatre! They spoke about all things MEMDT and their upcoming shows!
